Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA)
Our local Cleveland West Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (previously known as SHHH) was organized to provide outreach and support to those who do not hear well. We are a non-profit group that believes hard of hearing people can help one another, be helped, and participate successfully in society.

Our primary purpose is to educate ourselves and those around us about the causes, nature, and complications of hearing loss and what we can do for ourselves and to cope with that loss.

We hold regular meetings at which we may have a guest speaker on a topic of interest to our members or we may just share our experiences and knowledge about coping. At times, our meeting is a social.

We are one of over 250 local chapters affiliated with the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) that is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. HLAA works on a national scale to educate and support individuals, families, friends, coworkers, and others about hearing health and hearing loss, and advocates on their behalf in Washington, DC and elsewhere.
