Youth Challenge Holiday Show and Volunteer Recognition

The Youth Challenge kids take center stage to present a fun, festive, and free celebration of the season.
Youth Challenge (YC) brings together children with physical disabilities and youth volunteers for year-round adapted sports and recreational activities. The Holiday Show is presented by the volunteer and participant cast members from the YC Dance and Drama program and is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. A short program follows to recognize the year’s top teen volunteers who gave more than 9,000 hours of service to the Youth Challenge participants and mission. YC Gift Shop and Christmas Cake Bake Raffle open at 2 p.m., Holiday Show begins at 3 p.m.

Worldwide Candle Lighting - honors all children that have died too soon

Join with a caring community to remember children, grandchildren and siblings in a special gathering, which includes music, inspirational readings and messages of hope. This event is part of the 18th Annual Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting believed to be the largest mass candle lighting event.
At 7 p.m., we will light candles to join the circle of light as it passes through each time zone encircling the globe to honor the memory of children who were the light of so many lives. Family and friends are invited to share in this time of healing and hope. Afterwards, share time together with refreshments, a memory wall and, weather permitting, the release of candle lanterns so that the light of our children will always shine.
The event is free and open to all regardless of faith or no faith background.
