Tips, tricks and new techniques to maximize your results while searching for your ancestors online. Make the most of your searches by following these tried and true methods. Sometimes a brick wall can be broken down with simple skills. Discover how to do genealogy searching in an easier and more productive manner. Find information in a way that you may have not thought of before.

Afternoon Computer Fundamentals Finding "Hidden" Treasures Online. Jean Hoffman
Learn online sites that may display or be selling photos, postcards and other ephemera that depict or came from our families. Perhaps you could learn the identity of an unknown person in your own family photo. Most of us would love to see and have these treasures so we'll try it out.

Cleveland Miniaturia Society Show and Sale
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The longest continuous running miniature show in the U.S. will feature miniature artisans, manufacturers and dealers from around the county presenting their products for purchase and enjoyment. This year’s theme is “America the Beautiful – Made in the USA.” Special guest, Betsy Ross, will be present. Admission is $5 adults, $2 children, free under 5 years. Food will be available for purchase. There will also be a raffle for some really nice prizes and a silent auction of a room box or doll house. Proceeds from the show benefit Wags 4 Warriors.

A Conversation About Domestic Abuse

AAUW will welcome speakers Virginia Beckman, executive director of Genesis House Domestic Violence Shelter in Lorain, and Leslie Gentile, attorney at law who represents victims of domestic abuse and will speak about domestic abuse and the law. Please join us for this interactive discussion. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Telescope Night
7:30 PM
Join our resident telescope expert, Bill Reed, a former docent at Mt. Wilson and leader of classes on telescope building, for evenings under the stars. We will begin in the planetarium for an update on the sky tonight then head out to see the view. In case of inclement weather, viewing will be done inside on the planetarium dome. For adults and children ages 6+. Fee: $3/person. Please register in advance, 440-871-2900.
