Westlake Garden Club Bus Tour
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Local gardeners may want to join the WGC on its next bus tour. It will include a visit to the lush gardens at Fellows Riverside Gardens and a stop at Lanterman’s Mill and covered bridge in Youngstown. Lunch will be at Kravitz Garden Café. The bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. and return to Westlake at 4:30 p.m. Some seats are still open to the public. The cost is $65 per person and the deadline for reservations is Aug. 1. SweetArts Café

A socialization and arts experience for those with memory loss/dementia and their care partners (spouse, child, caregiver). It begins with lunch, either brown bag or ordered ahead from either D'Italia or Panera (fee), and is followed by an arts, music storytelling or dance activity. No cost. Various locations, so please call to find out more information, to pre-register and/or to order lunch at 440-414-0434, ext. 2.

Cruisin' Westlake
5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Bring the whole family to enjoy the fun of an old fashioned "cruise in." This is a free community event features live music by Rich Gallo, food truck, prizes, games, face painting and many outstanding old & new cars to keep you in the summer "top down" mood! You can display your car or just come by to see it all. There is no admission fee. Event is cancelled if it rains.

2017 Demon Nation Spirit Rally
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Westlake Demons Athletic Boosters (WDAB) will host the Spirit Rally, sponsored by North Coast Jaw & Implant Center, as a kick-off celebration for sports teams at Lee Burneson Middle School and Westlake High School for 2017-18. The Rally will feature food trucks from Fortune Café & Not Your Madres Tacos among others, LBMS & WHS teams will be running fun games including sack races, hockey shot, football tire toss, a corn hole tournament, dunk tank, face painting and more. WDAB will have multiple tents set up showcasing new Spirit Wear gear, the 2017 White Out Fan Shirt and 2017 WDAB membership. The Westlake High School Marching Band is slated to perform at 6:45 p.m. followed by Westlake’s own Screaming Armadillos.

Athletes, coaches, administration, alumni and community members will be celebrating their hometown teams for the upcoming year. This is a free community event.
