Westlake Garden Club Meeting

Crocker Park is often recognized for its beautiful flowers and landscapes. This oasis of greenery is the result of a partnership between Barnes Nursery and Crocker Park. Sharon Barnes of Barnes Nursery will tell the story of what it takes to keep the flowers and landscape pristine and growing all season long and share some of the gardening trends for 2017. Barnes is responsible for projects that remove organic material from landfills to transform it into high performance soil. Club business meeting begins at 11 a.m., lunch at noon, presentation at 1 p.m. The event is free and guests are welcome. For information call 440-665-5463.

A socialization and arts experience for those with memory loss/dementia and their care partners at the Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation studio. It begins with lunch, either brown bag or ordered ahead of time from Panera, and is followed by an art, music, storytelling or dance activity. No cost. Culture and Compassion: A Panel Discussion
