Jewelry Design - Impact of WWII

Dr. Mari Halkovich will describe the war’s impact on jewelry manufacturing. Rationing of metals prompted designers to turn to other materials, while they created items that lifted the spirits of a war-weary nation. View examples of sweetheart, homefront and post-war souvenir jewelry. Sponsored by The Bay Village Women’s Club. Free admission and open to all.

Forum on Living with Depression
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Rev. Kimberly Ann will provide a brief overview of issues relating to living with depression. She will share the six pillars of life (health, wellness, spirituality, career, finances and relationships) and will discuss how we both violate and support our basic values. We will learn what triggers us. We will discover that life is a journey and not a destination and that we can choose happiness, peace, love and joy. Information on how to overcome depression and live a depression-free life will also be presented.

Unity Spiritual Center Westlake is committed to our 5th principle which asks us to live the Truth we know. Unity Responds is a quarterly forum focusing on social issues which challenge us to respond in positive and practical ways. Each quarterly forum will provide a take-away of simple action we can take to make a difference. This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
