Assisted Living: Downsizing to Your New Home

Staying Safe in Cyberspace

Northeast Ohio Personal Computers (NEOPC) welcomes Jacob Joy to discuss measures that can be taken to protect your information, including using complex passwords and two factor authentication and other methods; what to look out for with the ever increasing sophistication of scams, and how to protect against them. He will also cover emerging trends in digital security.

Mr. Joy has an associate degree in Computer Maintenance and networking as well as Digital Forensics. He has been working in the Digital Forensics and Security Field for eight years at Lorain County Community College, where he is an Adjunct Faculty member and a Laboratory Instructional Assistant in the Engineering Business Information and Technology division.

SkyQuest: Ancient Civilizations and the Night Sky

Throughout history people of the world have watched the stars move across the sky each night and wondered about their place in the universe. For ancient civilizations such as the Babylonians, Greeks and Mayans astronomy was the backbone of their social, political and religious systems. They believed in an intense connection between objects in the heavens and events on Earth. Take a trip back in time with Bill Reed to witness the evolution of astronomy as one of the first sciences. Fee: $7/person.
