Westlake school levy to be discussed at League meeting
On Tuesday, March 16, 2010, the Westlake/North Olmsted Chapter of the League of Women Voters Cuyahoga Area will hold an informational meeting for the public on the Westlake City Schools proposed bond issue and the North Olmsted Schools proposed tax levy.
It is set for 10:00 a.m. to noon at Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road in Westlake. These tax issues will appear on each city’s May 4 primary election ballot. The public is encouraged to attend.
The Westlake City Schools’ proposal is an $84 million bond issue for constructing, renovating buildings and facilities, with information provided by Cathy Axcell, President, Westlake Council of PTAs or Dr. Daniel Keenan Jr., Superintendent.
The North Olmsted City Schools proposed tax levy for operating expenses will be explained by Robert Matson, Treasurer, North Olmsted City Schools and Dr. Cheryl Dubsky, Superintendent.
After discussion, the audience will be invited to ask questions.
