The Westlake City School District’s STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) Program of Excellence has been selected for inclusion in the Magna Best Practices Database of the American School Board Journal. 

STEM was one of 83 highly-scored programs selected for this special recognition from the 334 nominations received.

The Magna Awards is a national recognition program co-sponsored by American School Board Journal, the National School Boards Association and Sodexo School Services that honors school board best practices and innovative programs that advance student learning. 

The Magna Best Practices Database provides the education world with valuable resources for innovative best practices, proven and practical solutions for big and small district problems, and new ideas.

Westlake’s STEM program will be available in the database for at least five years. You can find the database at www.asbj.com/magna.
