Get fit after school next year!

A new venture between the Westlake Recreation Dept. and Westlake Schools will offer students a safe, yet fun and active, place to go after school. The Fit ‘N’ Fun After School Camp will open to fifth- and sixth-graders at the start of the 2011-2012 school year.

Students will be bused from Parkside Intermediate School to the Rec Center, where the trained staff will combine fitness with fun. Daily lessons and activities will include basketball, volleyball, nutrition instruction, access to the D.E.N. teen fitness area and other fitness programs.

There will be five sessions throughout the school year, each lasting seven to eight weeks. The first session runs from August 29 to October 21, with classes held Monday-Friday from 3:30-6:00 p.m.

The fee is $342 for the first session. A discount of $20 is available to those who register before June 8, as well as for multiple session or multiple children registrations.
