Peterson Pool Information

Peterson Pool, located in Clague Park, is the city of Westlake’s outdoor public pool. The pool is open to both residents and non-residents. Peterson Pool will open its doors for the summer on Saturday, June 4. The pool is open 1-8 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekends. Pee-Wee Coed Softball (ages 4-6)

Come and join one of our longest-running programs. Boys and girls get their first taste of America’s pastime, baseball. Children will need to bring their own glove we will take care of the rest. Participants will learn the basics including how to throw, catch, hit and run the bases. We use a softened, smaller softball for our lessons. This is a coach-pitched program. Classes start the week of June 13.

Get Fit

Various fitness classes are offered at the Westlake Recreation Center including, Yoga, Zumba, Phenomenal Abdominals, Spinning, as well as other fitness oriented classes. For more information and class schedules please visit our website at www.wlrec.org.

Soccer Camp (ages 5-14)

This soccer camp is designed for kids who want to work on their soccer skills during the summer. Westlake High School boys coach Mike Besu is the instructor. Full and half-day sessions are available, as are different weeks. Sessions run the weeks of June 13, July 18 and August 1.

Junior Hoop Basketball Camp (grades 1-4)

Join us for this four-day camp to help develop our youngest hoops players. The emphasis will be on dribbling, passing, shooting and basics of playing in an organized game. Classes are held the week of June 13, from 9-10 a.m. for grades 1-2, and 10-11 a.m. for grades 3-4. 


Various golf lessons are starting including beginners, intermediate and short game classes. Kids on the Kourse starts in early June. Check out our summer brochure online for all the golf classes. Golf lessons are held at the Golden Tee Driving Range on Olmsted Falls.
