Busy time for teens at the Bay Village Branch Library
The time for teens is NOW at the Bay Village Branch Library!
Preparations are almost finished for the Show Your Colors Art Exhibit. Seventh- and eighth-grade students of Bay Village are invited to enter their best artwork…and have a chance at winning some prize money. Just make sure your piece arrives at the library before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, and fill out an entry form to attach to it. Then come back on Sunday, March 4, at 2 p.m. to check out all the artwork, have some munchies and possibly collect YOUR award. Bring your family along, too! A big thank you goes out to our Friends of the Library for sponsoring this event.
Artwork will remain on display throughout the month of March at the library, so even if you can’t make it then, feel free to stop by another day (but sorry, no munchies).
Like to jam? Dave Young will bring his keyboard, mic and computer to help create some great music…starring YOU! Sing, rap or play the synthesizer keyboard. The performance will be recorded and edited using his mobile recording studio and posted on our website. So, if you would like to unleash your musical side, join us at the library on Tuesday, March 6, at 4 p.m. Registration is requested.
If building and robots are more your thing, come to the Robotix program on Saturday, March 10, from 2-4 p.m. Explore the world of Lego Mindstorms, program and teach your robot how to do tricks and master new challenges. This program is for kids ages 11-13. Space is limited, so register today!
See you at the library soon!
