Pennies pile up for patients

Principal John Stipek from Saint Bernadette School in Westlake presents a check to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society during Catholic Schools Week.

During Catholic Schools Week, Saint Bernadette School in Westlake collected "Pennies for Patients" as the CSW service project. This FUNraiser supports the ongoing work of the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.

The goal was simple: 250 pounds of pennies to equal approximately $500. The Saint Bernadette families showed what the school is capable of when reaching out to help others.

The current donation total is $2,012.12! It is simply amazing, the generosity and compassion, which was shown by the students, families, faculty and staff.  It makes one proud to be a part of the Saint Bernadette School family! Go Bulldogs!
