Musical melodrama comes to Clague Playhouse

Clague Playhouse continues their 84th season with the first-class melodrama, "A Murder, A Mystery & A Marriage" (book and lyrics by Aaron Posner, music by James Sugg and adapted from a short story by Mark Twain).

It's the late 1800s and shy Hugh Gregory loves Mary Gray, the prettiest girl in Deer Lick, Missouri. A mysterious stranger enters to win Mary’s love, and a disinheritance is announced, and topping that, a murder is committed. It’s an evening package of romance, comedy, mystery and music.

Directed by Douglas A. Farren with music direction by Connie Baltitas, the cast includes Greg Dziama, Neil Donnelly, Melanie Hauer, Bryan Heard, Tom Majercik Sr., Timothy Pell and Katrina Melanie Walker.

The play runs March 9-April 1 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. (Sunday, March 25, is sold out).

Tickets are $16 for adults and $15 for seniors (60+) and students and may be purchased by calling the Box Office, 440-331-0403, Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Cash, check, Discover, MasterCard and Visa are accepted. Clague Playhouse is located at 1371 Clague Rd. Free parking and handicapped accessible.
