BAYarts' annual ceramics show inspired by 'Sacred Vessels'

Each year, BAYarts' advanced pottery students conceive, create and curate a show of their work inspired by a central theme. In past years, the shows were inspired by Tuscany, Asia and Mexico.

This year's theme is "Sacred Vessels." Most pieces are for sale at affordable prices and help support the ceramic studio at BAYarts. Moira Beale, head of BAYarts' Ceramic Department and instructor of the advanced students, feels the "soup to nuts" planning and executing of the yearly show teaches students how a gallery works and how to present their work.

The show is on view in the Sullivan Family Gallery in the Fuller House through May. Hours are Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. or by appointment. BAYarts is located at 28795 Lake Rd. in Bay Village.
