Westlake's Fourth of July Activities at Clague Park

The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with a parade on Hilliard Blvd from WHS to Clague Park, where there will be a classic car show. At 11:15 a.m., Mayor Clough and City Council will celebrate America's birthday at the Clague Park entrance. Starting at 4 p.m., food vendors will be available, including; Ironwood Café, Bailey’s Boardwalk Fries, Romeo’s Pizza, Dippin Dots Ice Cream, Zog Dog Hot Dogs, Island Delights and Nuts & Such. DJ Eazy will spin tunes at 6 p.m. at the Gazebo and fireworks will light up the sky at dusk.

Summer Day Camp (Grades 1-6)

Each week is a fun-filled camp including games, art time, garden time, swimming and other fun activities. Each camper needs to bring a brown bag lunch, bathing suit and towel. Afternoon snacks provided. Please check out the Rec Gazette for more details including weekly field trips. Full day (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) and half day (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) available.

Shawn Hood’s Basketball Skills Camp (Grades 3-8)

Join WHS varsity coach and former CSU standout Shawn Hood as he works with players to improve shooting, passing and overall skills at this great summer camp for both boys and girls  Maximum of 100 players. July 23-26: grades 3-5, 9 a.m-noon; grades 6-8, 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Wright Stuff Football Camp (Grades 3-6)

Come out and meet former Cleveland Brown Felix Wright and former WHS/Michigan standout John Kolesar as they team up to present the Wright Stuff Football Camp. Participants will be taught the basics of offense and defense. All positions will be covered in small group sessions. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and football. July 23-26, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
