Saturday, Sept. 1 (2-3 p.m.) Brick Builders Club – Love those LEGO bricks? Then bring your ideas and imagination to the club! All bricks provided. Ages 6-13. Registration begins one week prior to each session.

Sunday, Sept. 2 and Monday, Sept. 3 – Library Closed in observance of Labor Day

Wednesday, Sept. 5 (10:30-11 a.m.) Let’s Sing and Dance! – Join us for a fun session of singing and dancing. For children ages 2-6 with a caregiver. Space is limited. Please arrive early enough to receive a ticket at the Preschool Desk.

Wednesday, Sept. 5 (1-2:30 p.m.) Cuyahoga West Genealogical Society – Stuck on your genealogical research? Not sure how to get started? Stop by for a free Help Session!

Thursday, Sept. 6 (7-8:00 p.m.) Superhero Storytime – KAPOW! Dress up as your favorite superhero and use your bionic hearing to listen to tales of bravery. Be prepared to use your amazing strength to play games and make a super-duper craft to take home! Ages 3-6. Please register starting Aug. 30.

Saturday, Sept. 8 (10:30-11 a.m.) Mother Goose on the Loose! – Mother Goose is on the loose in this interactive storytime featuring simple books, rhymes, songs and movement. For ages birth-3 years old with an adult caregiver. Mother Goose on the Loose promotes the joys of shared reading, the benefits of early literacy and the importance of the caregiver-child connection.

Saturday, Sept. 8 (2-3:30 p.m.) Beginning Genealogy – Get started researching your family history. Learn where to begin, how to research, what resources are available, and where to find them. Bring along names & dates for hands-on research. Please register starting Aug. 18.

Saturday, Sept. 8 (3-4:45 p.m.) Mad4Manga – M4M is everything manga! We talk about manga, create manga art, discuss & watch anime films, and more! Grades 6-12 only.

Saturday, Sept. 8 (7 p.m.) Jim Axelrod: In the Long Run – Join CBS political correspondent and author Jim Axelrod as he discusses the running journey that reconnected him with his late father and the book it inspired. Books will be available for purchase and signing after his talk. Co-sponsored by the Friends of Porter Public Library, Westlake City Schools and St. John Medical Center. This program will take place at the Westlake Performing Arts Center. Seats are on a first come, first served basis.
