Expo features senior health and support services

Caring for a family member, friend or loved one in their senior years can be trying. Where do you start, who do you turn to, where can you look for answers?

The Westside Geriatric Providers is a consortium of agencies providing services to seniors. The group’s mission is to enrich people’s lives by providing one-stop access to the region’s best senior health and support services.

The services provided are designed to provide peace of mind to the caregiver, all the while enriching the lives of the loved one they are caring for. Unique services such as an in-home dentist and optician, a visiting nurse practitioner, as well as expert advisers in home care, legal needs, mobility issues, home safety services, senior transportation, and much more.

On Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Westside Geriatric Providers group in conjunction with Cuyahoga Community College’s Center for Aging Initiatives presents “Caregiver Expo 2012,” at Tri-C Corporate College West, 25425 Center Ridge Rd. in Westlake.

The event will feature valuable information on senior services for friends and family members caring for a loved one.  Complementary pampering services, give-aways and raffles will be offered for attendees. The event is free and open to the public. For additional information, call 440-503-6694 or email dmorawski@anchor-health.com.
