Huntington Playhouse announces fall classes and productions

"The All Night Strut"

Huntington Playhouse still has openings for their Fall Children’s Theatre program which starts on Sept. 8, and runs each Saturday until Oct. 27. The class will be taught by Judith Mazur and will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The classes are performance related and conclude with a mystery/Halloween production. Cost is $95.

“The All Night Strut” continues its run through Sept. 9. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with the production concluding on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 2 p.m. Swing's the thing – and nowhere more than in this classy, sassy musical celebration of the 1930s and '40s. Here is a two-act bonanza filled with jazz, blues, bebop and standards from such legendary songwriters as Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Cab Calloway and the Gershwins. Tickets are $20, with senior rates on the Friday and Sunday show.

Following “The All Night Strut” will be “The 39 Steps” which is a comedy based on the Alfred Hitchcock movie. In this production, four performers play over 100 parts! It is a fun night of theatre not to be missed.

Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 440-871-8333. Huntington Playhouse is located at 28601 Lake Rd. in Bay Village and is an affiliate of the Cleveland Metroparks.
