Huntington Playhouse director receives Kiwanis honor

Huntington Playhouse managing director Tom Meyrose receives Kiwanian of the year award from the Metro-West Kiwanis Club.

The Metro-West Kiwanis Club named Tom Meyrose, managing director of Huntington Playhouse, as their Kiwanian of the year.  The award was given at the club’s officer induction on Sept. 22. Meyrose, a life member of the club, was honored for his work on service projects this past year.

Courtney Kronk was inducted as club president and talked about his plans for the coming year which include a food drive for the Bay Food Ministry with the help of Huntington Playhouse. On Sunday, Nov. 25, Huntington Playhouse will offer discounted tickets to “The Winter Wonderettes” when non-perishable food items are brought in to the theatre for the Bay Food Ministry.

Metro-West Kiwanis is a service organization that serves Bay Village, Rocky River, Fairview Park, Westlake and North Olmsted. They meet on Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. at the Beach Education Center at the corner of Detroit and Morewood Parkway in Rocky River. All are welcome.
