Time to furnish some love
Fall is here again and if you feel the urge to clean out the garage or closets over weekend, consider donating your gently-used furniture and household goods to the Cleveland Furniture Bank.
The Cleveland Furniture Bank is a local non-profit organization which helps thousands of Northeast Ohioans establish a more stable living environment by providing them with basic home furnishings such as a bed, couch and dinette.
Referrals include such situations as: victims of domestic violence fleeing an abusive situation; victims of disasters such as fires, floods and tornadoes; former foster children who’ve reached adulthood; and returning veterans.
Items that no longer have meaning to you can mean the world to a family or individual who is starting out or starting over.
Every year the Cleveland Furniture Bank distributes thousands of furniture items to local households, and by accepting donations, reduces landfill waste by millions of pounds.
Donors may drop off items at our donation center at 6700 Biddulph Rd., Brooklyn, schedule a pick up online using the online scheduling system, or call 216-459-2265, ext. 101. The fee for a pickup is $20.
To schedule a pickup online, go to our website at www.clevelandfurniturebank.org.
If you don’t have furniture to give but are still interested in the mission of the CFB, we also accept monetary donations via PayPal on our website.
Every dollar donated to the Cleveland Furniture Bank brings hope to a person or family in need. You can make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in our community.
