BAYarts receives grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture

On Nov. 19, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) announced grants to 175 arts and culture organizations in Cuyahoga County.  The grant awards were approved by CAC’s board of trustees after an in-depth application process, a review by a panel of independent arts and culture experts from outside Northeast Ohio and finally the allocation of funds by CAC trustees.

BAYarts will receive $41,000 each year for two years. It is BAYarts' third CAC grant and will be used for general operating expenses including payroll, facility upkeep and operations.

"This award is justification that BAYarts has become a Westside destination, catering to a diverse audience by providing quality art enrichment programs, gallery exhibitions and free community events," said Peter Winzig, BAYarts' board president. "This is encouragement to continue doing what we do, getting better and better each year."

The CAC is a dedicated source of public funds that supports creative activity in communities of Cuyahoga County. This year's grant focused on public benefit and financial stability.
