Two Westlake veterinarians achieve high-level certification
Westlake Animal Hospital is extremely proud and excited to announce that Dr. David Love has recently been re-certified (for the fourth time) as a diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and Dr. Michael Nappier has been certified for the first time. They are two of only 900 diplomates nationwide.
The testing required to achieve this honor is a long and difficult process of additional studies and examination but the result is to become a board certified specialist recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association. This accomplishment takes a minimum of three years to complete and each certification is good for ten years.
Those who become ABVP diplomates have proven knowledge and expertise above and beyond that required to practice veterinary medicine. They have also earned the privilege to specialize in the treatment of their preferred category of animals. Most veterinarians performing broad-based clinical practice are not board certified.
The ABVP board-certified veterinarian has demonstrated he or she is capable of providing a level of clinical practice that is clearly superior to the norm of the profession.
Westlake Animal Hospital is located at 27370 Center Ridge Rd.
