12th Annual Presidents Day Beach Party

Monday, Feb. 18 (12:30-3 p.m.) – No school on Feb. 18? What a great time to have a beach party! Enjoy music, games including the famous Big Kahuna Cannonball Classic. Cost: Free to members; $5/residents; $10/non-residents. You must be registered to attend.

Pre-School Beach Party (ages 3-5)

Friday, Feb. 15 (10-11 a.m.) – Come beat the winter blues and have some fun with your friends in the tot pool. We will play pool games, splash and swim, make a craft and enjoy a light snack. Pre-registration is required. Maximum of 20. Cost: Free to members; $5/residents; $10/non-residents.

Coach Besu’s Little Kickers Soccer (Ages 4-6)

Sundays, Feb. 10-March 10 (noon -1 p.m.) – WHS varsity soccer coach Mike Besu and players will be giving instruction to future soccer stars. Program will focus on the basic skills needed to play. Players will be given instruction and some game play will occur. Session will be held inside the gym of the Westlake Recreation Center. Cost: $45/members; $55/non-members.

Sports with Coach Charlotte (ages 3-5)

Tuesdays, Feb. 19-March 26 (1-1:30 p.m.) – Classes begin with a warm-up of a short run, jumping jacks and aerobic moves and then move into simple stretches, toning and strength building. An excellent way for your child to get some creative exercise in a variety of fun and entertaining ways. Cost: $60/members; $70/non-members.

Swimming Lessons

Various swimming lessons are now being offered for both members and residents. The next session of classes will start in mid-February. Please check out the Rec Gazette in person or online at www.wlrec.org for more information and pricing.
