Focus on Paul St. Denis at BAYarts watercolor shows

Paul St. Denis "Spring Thaw"

When BAYarts opens the Ohio Watercolor Society (OWS) Traveling Exhibition in the Fuller House Gallery on April 12, one artist who will stand out is Paul St. Denis. Not only is he an award-winning member of the OWS, he has been on BAYarts' faculty on and off for years.

To highlight his work as an educator, a sister show featuring Paul's class demonstrations and related paintings will be in the Dianne Boldman Education Gallery. Paul received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his master's from Kent State University, he is a faculty emeritus at the Cleveland Institute of Art. In addition to being a member of the OWS, he is a member of the American Watercolor Society and The National Watercolor Society.

Paul's spring classes at BAYarts are already in full swing, but will resume in the fall. Visit bayarts.net/classes.aspx for info.  Paul's show and the OWS Traveling Exhibit will run through April 27. Fuller House Gallery hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., or by appointment at 440-871-5432.
