The cast of "9 to 5: The Musical"

The Huntington Playhouse season continues with “9 to 5: The Musical” running now through August 4. The production features 20 performers who were choreographed by Jessica Atwood, a 10-piece pit orchestra directed by Kira Seaton, and a run crew of eight people under the direction of stage manager Keith Stevens. Westlake Village sponsored the show which is directed by Managing Director Tom Meyrose.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. They conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do – even in a man's world. Set in the late 1970s and based on the hit 1980 movie, "9 to 5: The Musical" is the hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era set to the music and lyrics of Dolly Parton.

Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. with one Sunday matinee on August 4 at 2 p.m. There is no performance on Saturday, August 3, due to a Cleveland Metroparks beach event.

Opening on August 15 will be the comedy “Bell, Book & Candle” which is the story of a witch who falls in love with a mortal.

The Huntington Playhouse box office, 440-871-8333, is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 1-5 p.m.

Huntington Playhouse is located at 28601 Lake Road in Bay Village and is an licensed affiliate of the Cleveland Metroparks.
