Follow Abraham Lincoln's travels through Ohio
In February 1861, President-elect Abraham Lincoln made an 11-day whistle-stop tour from Springfield, Ill., to Washington, D.C. Five of the days were spent at various stops in Ohio. Later, in 1865, the funeral train bearing his body passed once again through Ohio en route to his final resting place in Illinois.
Join us on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. as local historian Harold George tells of his personal travels throughout Ohio to locate and photograph the original railroad depots where Lincoln's train stopped. Registration is requested for this program. Sponsored by the Friends of the Bay Village Branch.
