Two sisters organize 'Empty Bowls by the Lake' to feed the hungry

Several groups, artists and individuals are painting bowls for this year’s event, including area students and local potters.

On Oct. 12 at Bleser Park in Avon Lake, enjoy gourmet soups from more than a dozen local restaurants while supporting local hunger relief efforts. Pick out a hand-painted pottery bowl to take home. Pictured is last year's event.
