Bay Education Foundation's annual '10 Campaign' begins

In kicking off the Bay Village Education Foundation's “10 Campaign,” the foundation is asking for the community’s help in a small way in inspiring meaningful and authentic learning experiences for their students in all of the buildings for years to come. The BVEF is an independent, non-profit volunteer organization that funds educational projects by contributions, sponsorships and donations from various members of the community and area organizations to award monies to educators across the district to enhance student learning in the classroom.

Many opportunities, through innovative ideas and technology, have been made possible in Bay schools throughout the years for students’ daily distinctive learning experiences, due to funds that are so generously donated to the BVEF each year. The foundation grants these funds to various teachers across the district to build the original educational experiences that make a difference to students in their learning journey, and lives, over the years. Thousands of dollars have been presented to teachers to help inspire their students with these genuine learning supports to affect the past, present and future of the knowledge of their youth.

The “10 Campaign” offers the chance for all parents, teachers and community members to be a part of contributing in this simple, but significant, way by offering a $10 or more donation towards a grant total that is awarded each year to fund ideas of multiple teachers to make them a reality. Ninety percent is placed in a permanent fund to create possibilities for numerous learning experiences for many more years to follow, and the other ten percent goes to the project of the superintendent's choice. In partnering with the community in this way, an amazing impact on Bay Village’s educational “toolkit” is possible.

Ways To Get Involved and Contribute:

Contributions of $10 (or more) can be made in a number of ways:

  • Cash or checks made out to BVEF and sent to the main office of any Bay school building or mailed to P.O. Box 40262, Bay Village, OH 44140
  • Teachers can have direct deposit contributions from their paychecks.
  • Donations can be made online through PayPal at www.bayedfoundation.org.

Donations are welcome from 10/10 through 11/10 this year! We are excited to continue and embrace the overwhelming support and opportunity for such an essential cause by community members for our students and educators.
