Monday, Dec. 2 (4-5:45 p.m.) Teen Lounge – Need a place to hang out after school? Come to WPPL's Teen Lounge on Monday afternoons! We've got computers, video games, board games, snacks and more!

Monday, Dec. 2 (7-8:30 p.m.) Mother-Daughter DIY Beauty – Enjoy some relaxing one-on-one time with your Mom. Learn how to live greener and have healthier skin by making your own custom beauty and spa products. All supplies will be provided and you will take home the products you make, along with instructions for making more. Please note that a variety of oils and other natural materials will be used. Please contact us if you have any questions about allergens. Grades 7-12.

Tuesday, Dec. 3 (10 a.m.-noon) Results-Oriented Resumes – In the current job market, competition is tough and employers are swamped with resumes. This workshop will teach you what will catch the employers’ attention and make them want to call you.

Wednesday, Dec. 4 (10:15-10:45 a.m. or 11-11:30 a.m.) Let’s Sing and Dance! – Join us for a fun session of singing and dancing for children ages 2-6 with a caregiver. Space is limited, so please arrive early enough to receive a ticket at the Preschool Desk.

Wednesday, Dec. 4 (4-5:30 p.m.) Books With Bella – Stop by the Youth Services Department each Wednesday and sign your child up for a 10-minute reading time with Bella the Bulldog! Bring your own book to share with Bella or choose one of ours. Registration begins every Wednesday at 3 p.m. No session on Dec. 25.

Friday, Dec. 6 (10-11 a.m.) The Ohio Dance Theatre Presents The Nutcracker – Dancers from The Ohio Dance Theatre will present an introduction to "The Nutcracker" and will bring some of their costumes for kids to see up close! Ages 3-6. Registration begins Nov. 29.

Friday, Dec. 6 (10-11 a.m. OR 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) Connecting for Kids "Teach Me to Play" – Experts from the Cuyahoga Board of Developmental Disabilities will lead this playgroup for children 3-6 years (siblings welcome). Its focus is teaching parents how to help their children engage in play and interact with peers, and positively discipline through hands-on modeling techniques. Caregiver must stay in the room. Tuesday, Dec. 10 (10 a.m.-noon) Applications That Get Noticed – These days most job applications are scanned for keywords for the skills, education or experience that are most important to the employer, as well as for keywords that may be used to screen candidates out. Learn how to tackle questions on an application to be sure yours will be read.

Tuesday, Dec. 10 (7 p.m.) Tuesday Evening Book Discussion – This month we’ll discuss "The Walk" by Richard Paul Evans.

Thursday, Dec. 12 (9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) Used Computer Sale – The library will sell used computer and networking equipment, including 12 Dell Optiplex GX280 desktop computers, 11 Dell flat-panel monitors, some Fast Ethernet 10/100 switches, and other miscellaneous equipment. Cash, check or credit card accepted for payment. All items will be sold “as is” with no warranties and all sales will be final.

Thursday, Dec. 12 (7 p.m.) Non-Fiction Book Discussion – The December selection is "God’s Hotel: A Doctor, A Hospital, and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine" by Victoria Sweet.

Friday, Dec. 13 (Siblings, Ages 1-6: 9:30-10 a.m.) (Toddler, Under Age 3: 10:30-11 a.m.) (Preschool, Ages 3-6: 11:30 a.m.-noon) Music Therapy & More – Parents and caregivers can learn how to have a direct role in bringing music to life at home, at school and in the community.
