Raffle tickets now on sale for Bay Days fireworks
Raffle tickets are on sale to help raise funds for the Bay Days fireworks celebration, which are now privately funded.
There are two different raffles: A suite at Progressive Field for 16 persons at the Friday, Aug. 22, Cleveland Indians game, and a one-year membership in the Freedom Boat Club, which offers unlimited use of a fleet of powerboats docked in the Rocky River and 75 other locations nationwide.
The Indians package includes 16 seats in a suite and four parking passes for the game and fireworks show against the Houston Astros. Four people from the group will be able to view the fireworks from the visiting team dugout. Food and soft drinks are included. This prize was donated by the Cleveland Indians.
The Freedom Boat Club prize, offered by Bay Village native Robert Massey, is a membership in the club, an $8,000 value. The winner will have unlimited use of a fleet of boats at all club locations, which includes the Rocky River, Port Clinton and Catawba. The membership also includes reciprocal use of boats at any of the club’s 75 other locations nationwide. The club takes care of all maintenance costs, except fuel. The winner of the Freedom Boat Club prize will be drawn on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. The winner of the Indians raffle prize will be drawn July 4 at Bay Days.
