Clock is ticking to enter Westlake in Bloom
The warm days and beautiful sunshine are just what our gardens needed to get growing and blooming. If your garden is beginning to look spectacular, or even if it looks a little above average, I hope you will enter it in Westlake in Bloom 2014.
With 21 categories available to enter, I am sure one is just right for your garden, whether it is residential landscaping, a vegetable garden, a window box, or a business or organization. Gardens will be judged the second week of July and awards presented at a ceremony on August 13 at LaCentre and everyone is invited to get a look at photos of the winning gardens.
Entry forms can be downloaded from the city’s website at www.cityofwestlake.org and mailed to Westlake in Bloom, City of Westlake, 27700 Hilliard Blvd., Westlake, OH 44145, or dropped off at the reception desk at Westlake City Hall. Entry forms are also available at any of these Westlake garden centers: Cahoon Nursery, Dean’s Greenhouse, Gale’s Westlake Garden Center, or Plant Crafters. Deadline for entries to be received is Friday, June 27, at 5 p.m.
Every Hilliard Boulevard flower box, Evergreen Cemetery Memorial Fence garden, and Adopt-a-Bed garden will be entered automatically in the judging. Join in the community spirit and enter your garden this year – even if you won last year, you can win again this year. Please enter, and good luck!
