Get started researching your family tree

Learn how to research your family tree on June 28 and July 26 at Westlake Porter Public Library. The library is offering two genealogy programs – "Genealogy Research from Home" and "Beginning Genealogy" – in which attendees will learn how to get started and about the resources available to them as they search.

In Genealogy Research from Home (10:30 a.m.-noon on June 28), attendees will discover free genealogy websites available from home, including HeritageQuest and Fold3. In Beginning Genealogy Research from Home (10:30 a.m.-noon on July 26) attendees will learn how to research their family history, including the available resources and where to find them. Bring along names and dates to both classes for hands on research.

Both classes will be held at the library, 27333 Center Ridge Road. To register for either please call 440-250-5460 or visit signup.westlakelibrary.org:8080.
