'Power of More' chambers join for networking event

On June 11, nearly 200 members from the Power of More chambers of commerce (Fairview Park, North Coast, North Olmsted, North Ridgeville, Olmsted and West Shore) attended a fantastic Business After Hours event at Wagner’s of Westlake who provided delicious food. Every attendee had the opportunity to enjoy putting on an indoor putting green set up by Andrew Mangels of Westlake Porter Public Library. Several prizes were given away, including gift certificates donated by various chamber members.

Special recognition was given to the sponsors of the event; Stewart Title, Peter & Co. Jewelers and Ray’s Auto & Truck Service.  As always, Kenny Gilder of The DJ Company, provided the sound system and great music.

Jim Chillemi of Terra Realty and Development and past president of the West Shore Chamber commented, “Nothing compares to a Power of More event. The opportunity to meet new business owners every month is second to none.” Marjorie Snyder, chairperson of the Fairview Park membership committee said, “Through the Power of More networking program, the Fairview Park Chamber has signed up over 20 members just in the last three months.” John Allensworth from Montrose Auto Group stated, “The regionalization of the chambers is wonderful. The chambers can maintain their individuality and still have the opportunity to work with members of the participating chambers.”

The Power of More networking program is Northeast Ohio’s largest networking organization with over 1,600 businesses utilizing the various chambers to expand their business. The next Power of More event will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 5-7 p.m., at Montrose Kia in Sheffield. This event will kick off the 2014-2015 Power of More networking season. Many prizes can be won by chamber members who attend the Power of More events. The most important part of the Power of More events is that they are free for members to attend.
