Upcoming programs at Bay Village Branch Library
Summer is in full swing at the Bay Village Branch with events and programs for all! There is still plenty of time to participate in the Summer Reading Game which is for adults and youth of all ages. Register online at www.cuyahogalibrary.org, select an avatar, decide on your reading goal minutes and you are all set! Just start reading and add your minutes online as you progress. Any questions, please call us at 440-871-6392. If you prefer to use a traditional game board, stop in the library to pick one up and get it stamped along with a raffle entry each time you come in.
Look for the library table at Bay Days on July 2 and 3; stop to say hello and make a craft! The library will be closed July 4-6 for the Independence Day Weekend.

Wednesday, June 25 (6-7:30 p.m.) ANNUAL ICE CREAM SOCIAL – Stop in at the third annual ice cream social! Meet your friends, neighbors and library staff to enjoy Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream. Sponsored by the Friends of the Bay Village Branch Library.
Tuesday, July 8 (10 a.m.) SUMMER READS YOU MAY NOT HAVE HEARD ABOUT – Looking for something to read this summer but not quite sure what? Barbara Isaacs, head of the Adult Department will have some suggestions of all genres that you might enjoy. You may discover an author you've never tried!
Wednesdays, June 25, July 2 and July 9 (9:30 a.m.) BABY & ME STORYTIME – For caregivers and their children ages birth to 18 months. Join us for rhymes, songs, fingerplays and books.
Wednesdays, June 25 and July 2 (7 p.m.) and Friday, June 27 (9:30 a.m.) FAMILY STORYTIME – For children of all ages and a caregiver. Have fun with stories, songs and fingerplays.
Thursdays, June 26 and July 3 (11 a.m.) and Tuesday, July 8 (7 p.m.) PRESCHOOL STORYTIME – For caregivers and their children ages 3-5, not in kindergarten. Join us for books, rhymes, songs and fingerplays.
Mondays, June 30 and July 7; Tuesdays, July 1 and 8 (9:30 a.m.) TODDLER STORYTIME – For caregivers and their children ages 19-35 months. Enjoy rhymes, songs, fingerplays and stories.
Thursday, June 26 (2 p.m.) WENDY MAHON'S MASKS – For 8- to 12-year-olds. All cultures have a history of mask making. Learn to make masks using a variety of materials and techniques and about how masks are used by different cultural groups in ceremonies and festivals. Incorporating a variety of geometric shapes, participants will learn to apply concepts of two and three-dimensional design to their own creations. Register online or by calling 440-871-6392.
