Westlake seniors benefit from Kiwanis grant

Lydia Gadd, director of Westlake Community Services, accepts a donation from (l-to-r) Kiwanians Norm Resko (president), Rick Grane and Al Smith.

The Westlake Kiwanis presented a $500 check to the Westlake Community Center on July 21 to provide smoke detectors and/or carbon monoxide detectors for eligible senior citizens and low-income eligible individuals in the Westlake community.

This money was made available from a grant by the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation to the Westlake Kiwanis. These detectors will be distributed by the Westlake Fire Department. Anyone needing smoke detector and or carbon monoxide detector must call the Westlake Community Center at 440-899-3544 to determine eligibility.
