Westlake Porter Public Library offers new learning options with lynda.com

Westlake Porter Public Library is offering cardholders new learning options through lynda.com. Lynda.com is an online training center that offers courses and videos that help anyone learn business, software, technology and creative skills to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. It is accessible inside the library only on either its computers or your own notebook computer.

Lynda.com offers a video library of top-quality courses taught by experts and covering all of the latest trends in programs or software, including:

  • 3D and Animation
  • Audio and Music
  • Business
  • CAD
  • Design
  • Developer
  • Education
  • Marketing
  • Photography
  • Video
  • Web

Courses cover all levels of expertise, from beginner to advanced. All users receive documentation upon course completion, allowing users to provide verification to employers where needed. Courses fit any schedule, from 15 minutes to 15 hours.

To access lynda.com at the library, log into the library’s website – www.westlakelibrary.org – and click on “Research Resources” on the menu bar at the top of the page. Click on “L” in the alphabetical list of databases, then click on Lynda.com. Find a topic and start learning!
