Civic groups show that Bay cares

Community organizations promote their groups to visitors at the Bay Library.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, representatives from nearly 30 Bay Village civic groups and nonprofit organizations gathered for the Bay Cares Fall Fest to promote their activities and seek new volunteers. The annual event, presented by the Observer and the Bay Village Branch Library, drew a steady stream of residents of all ages interested in learning how they can give back to the community. A little bribe helped as well; a food truck churned out free doughnuts, courtesy of the Friends of the Bay Library.
