Super book sale at Porter Library

Come to Westlake Porter Public Library for their annual book sale Feb. 5-8. We have a room just for fiction, a special room for children and young adult items, and the large Porter Room will be filled with non-fiction, special-priced books, DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, audiobooks, records, and more. This year we have a large selection of children's non-fiction and an assorted collection of Chilton and Mitchell professional car manuals donated from the library collection.

Member of Friends of Porter Public Library can shop on Wednesday evening, Feb. 4, from 4-7 p.m. You will be able to join Friends at our membership table at the time of the sale. Regular sale days are Feb. 5 and 6, starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending a half-hour before the library closes. Hard-backed books are $1 and small paperbacks are $0.50. Our special-priced books are individually priced at very reasonable prices.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, starting at 9:30, everything is half-priced so you will find some real bargains. Then on Sunday, Feb. 8, starting at 1:15 p.m., we will have our $2 bag sale. We supply the bags and you can fill them to the brim.  Sorry, special-priced books will not be available at the bag sale.

Currently on display in the showcase in the library lobby, you can see the items for our silent auction. We have autographed books, DVD collections, pop-up books meant for adults, leather-bound copies of classics, bundles of books about Westlake, Cleveland, the Tribe, football, and so much more. Final bids will be taken at 3 p.m. on Feb. 8.

We have been collecting these treasures for a year. Through the sale, the Friends of Porter Public Library raise funds to donate to the library for special events throughout the year. Please join us for this annual event and help support our fabulous library.
