Heal your body and mind Thursdays at Unity
Thursdays are terrific at Unity Spiritual Center of Westlake. From classes to workshops to concerts, it's all right here for your enjoyment and growth, at a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere.
Tired of sitting behind a desk for eight hours, feeling a need to move and stretch? Your back giving you trouble? Try something unique in Unity's Yoga for Healthy Backs and Bones class on Thursdays, 10-11:15 a.m., $10 per class.
For the dancer inside of you that wants to express your freedom to move, try Chakradance – a practice for body and soul. It will free you and energize you. It's a powerful combination of spontaneous dance, guided imagery and music to promote calmness. Class is Thursdays, 6-7:30 p.m, $20 per session.
Dive into the Sea of Aum with an evening of meditation through crystal singing bowls of varying size that will clear, rejuvenate and honor your heart's intention. Thursdays, 7-8:30 p.m., pay what you can. Bring a cushion or mat.
For the word lovers among us, try Word Lovers Salon, every third Thursday of the month, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Brainstorm, learn about the craft, get feedback and write, all with other devoted lovers of the written word. Fee of $10 per session includes refreshments.
If Thursdays don't work for you, try a Saturday. Welcome much-awaited spring, and attend a Wellness Fair on March 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Transform through the knowledgeable practitioners, healers, services and products. Meditate inside a 17-foot copper and crystal pyramid.
For more dance fun, step back in time, back to 1499 to be exact. Join us for a fun evening of music and dance from the Renaissance era, Saturday, March 28, $25 per person, register by March 20. Costumes encouraged, no partner needed for this enchanting Renaissance Ball fundraiser for Centered Wellness.
