New children's librarian at the Bay Village Branch Library

Sarah Polace is the new children's librarian at the Bay Village Branch Library.

Thank you to The Observer for the opportunity to introduce myself to the Bay Village community. My name is Sarah Polace and I am excited to join the Bay Village Branch Library as the new children’s librarian.

I’ve been part of the Cuyahoga County Public Library community my whole life – starting as a customer attending programs and spending summers participating in the library’s summer reading program. My parents and grandmother introduced me to my love of books and libraries and the rest is history! I began working for the system as a library page shelving books during high school and college.

As a children’s librarian, I’ve spent the last seven years working with children and teens at the Parma-South and Maple Heights branches. I’m passionate about connecting readers and books and love sharing quality literature with children and teens through storytimes and book discussions. I also enjoy incorporating technology into programs including robots, iPads and more.

I reside in Strongsville and on my days off you can find me at a Cleveland Indians game or running in the Metroparks. I am currently training to run the Cleveland Marathon on May 17 as my first full marathon and am excited to log some miles along the lake here in Bay Village.

I look forward to working with the knowledgeable and friendly Bay Village staff to help you and your children find your next great read, share quality programming and serve as a resource to the community. Stop by and say "hi" when you visit the branch!
