WestShore Lions have school safety on their bucket list

The WestShore Lions Club has been working on for some time, and have now finalized the planning for their "School Safety Buckets" project. The Club has been working with the schools in both the cities of Westlake and North Olmsted to gather items to create a bucket for every classroom, which will contain items that can be used in case of an emergency.

A safety bucket is an emergency kit that teachers and students can use in their classroom, under the teachers' direction, in the case that an emergency arises.

The WestShore Lions Club is currently in need of 570 (one for each classroom bucket) of the following items:

  • 5-gallon plastic buckets
  • 16-ounce claw hammers
  • Rolls of toilet paper
  • Rolls of paper towels
  • Ace wraps
  • Fleece blankets
  • 16-ounce bottles of drinking water
  • Large garbage bags

If you can donate, or know of any organization that might want to become a sponsor involved with this Safety School Bucket project, please contact the WestShore Lions Club at 440-250-5564, or by email at: LionsofWestshore@gmail.com. The Club can make arrangements to pick up items at your convenience.

The Club is also looking for Major Sponsors, those that donate the needed number of items that would complete the donation category for a specific item of need, in the amount of 570. As an appreciation for the Major Donation, the company's name and logo will be displayed on the canvas covering that will cover all the buckets.

Please consider donating, and note that the WestShore Lions Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Co-chairs for the WestShore Lions Club Safety Bucket Campaign are: Lion Nan Baker and Lion Denise Ayers.
