LaCentre was the host for a joint luncheon between the West Shore, Fairview Park and North Olmsted chambers of commerce on Sept. 15.  Two special events were the highlighted at this special lunch. Congressman Jim Renacci was the keynote speaker for this luncheon.  Prior to him taking his spot at the podium, he joined the ballroom in a loud rendition of "Happy Birthday" for 100-year-old Fairview Park resident, Fedora DiMattia, who seemed delighted by all the attention.

Congressman Renacci spoke at length about the current state of affairs in Washington, from his dislike of the nuclear deal with Iran to the possible government shutdown if a federal budget isn't passed. After his speech he opened up the floor to questions from the membership. Lack of veterans health care and tax issues were some of the top concerns discussed.

When lunch was finished the members headed outside to watch the presentation of a three-year lease on a new Kia Optima by John Allensworth of Montrose Kia to Eileen Donahue. She was the Power of More grand prize winner for 2015. Eileen has been a member of the chamber for many years and thrilled to win the big prize. The grand prize for next year's Power of More contest will be announced at the holiday party in December.
