Kiwanis flipping over flapjacks

Westlake Kiwanian Bruce "Chip" Zyrkowski flips the flapjacks at a previous pancake breakfast.

The Westlake Kiwanis Club will hold its pancake breakfast Sunday, Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Westlake High School cafeteria, 27830 Hilliard Blvd.

The breakfast includes all the pancakes you care to eat, plus sausage, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea. The price is $6; children under 6 eat for free. Corporate sponsorships are available for $50 and include 10 breakfast tickets and advertisement of your business during the breakfast.

This breakfast helps support the many Kiwanis projects throughout the Westlake community such sponsoring Key Club, Builder's Club and K-Kids, scholarships for Westlake High School students, Westlake Memorial Day Parade, Westlake Special Olympics, food baskets for the less fortunate at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, delivering Meals on Wheels on holidays, smoke detectors for seniors and many other worthwhile causes. So come on out and enjoy a good breakfast while helping our community.

Please consider becoming a Westlake Kiwanian. "A Kiwanian asks not what my community can do for me, but what can I do for my community."

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

If you would like to join an active volunteer group and give back to your community on many worthwhile projects, please contact George Christ at 440-871-3980 or gchrist44140@yahoo.com.
