Please join the Friends of Porter Public Library for their annual book sale Feb. 4-7 at Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road. Thousands of books and audio-visual items will be available including fiction and non-fiction books, children's books, DVDs and CDs. There will be so many items that three rooms are needed to display all the choices. 

Preview night for members of Friends will be Wednesday, Feb. 3, 4:30-7 p.m. Memberships will be available at that time. Regular sale days are Thursday, Feb. 4, 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday, Feb. 5, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 6, there will be a half-price sale of all items from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, Feb. 7, there will be a $2 bag sale from 1:15-4 p.m. A bag costs $2, and you can fill it to the top with as many books as possible. 

There will also be a silent auction of some special items, including some unique "oldies but goodies." These items are currently on display in the showcase in the lobby of the Library. Final bids will be taken at 3 p.m. on Feb. 7.
