Humor writing workshop open to new members

If you enjoy reading humorous writing by authors like Dave Barry and Erma Bombeck, this is the group for you. Come join us at 9:30 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month at Westlake Porter Public Library to engage in writing humorous pieces on various subjects such as growing up, old age, freaky friends, politics or whatever other aspects of life hit your humor bone.

At each meeting, we do impromptu writing on an assigned subject and read our assignments from the previous month for feedback from the group. This workshop is especially helpful to memoir writers who want to add a little zip to their writing. There are no fees or membership dues.

Shortly after that, I started writing fiction and attended numerous writing workshops, polishing my writing skills and have completed ten novels.
