Michael Heaton comes to Porter Library

The Westlake Porter Public Library is celebrating National Library Week with Cleveland’s own Minister of Culture, Michael Heaton. Heaton has been an award-winning popular culture columnist and reporter at the Plain Dealer since 1987. Heaton is the son of Chuck Heaton, sports writer for the Plain Dealer and brother of well-known actress Patricia Heaton. He will be talking about his favorite memories of being a journalist in Cleveland.

Heaton will also be talking about his book, “Truth and Justice for Fun and Profit: Collected Reporting,” which highlights his best and most outrageous magazine and news stories from his career. He will share about the many risky and adventurous things that he has done to get a scoop including boxing and going undercover with the FBI and mob informants. Come and listen to these intriguing and laugh-out-loud stories at the library.

Join us for this exciting event titled “How to Get a Job like Mine” at the Westlake Porter Public Library on Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m., in the Porter Room. Please register for the program at westlakelibrary.org or by calling 440-871-2600.
