Congressman Renacci & Social Security

This upcoming national election is shaping up to be quite an interesting contest. Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton. But more than just these the two strong personalities, there is a host of issues to consider. For example, items like terrorism, immigration, the economy and controlling ISIS, are all factors to consider when voting for Trump or Clinton.

And then there is, of course, the issue of Social Security, which is highly important to a lot of people here in northeastern Ohio. Social Security is important because, frankly, many people depend on it for their living.

So, for that reason, it’s a good thing that we have Jim Renacci as our Congressman. Jim  strongly supports Social Security, having sponsored two pieces of legislation that will help people receiving SS.

Teaming with Sam Johnson (R-TX), Jim has sponsored the SS Mail Act, which requires the SS Administration to remove SS numbers from mailed documents thus protecting Americans from identity loss. Jim is  also supporting HR-711, which focuses on SS benefits for public employees such as teachers, police and firefighters. HR-711 replaces the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) which reduces SS benefits for those public employees. Currently, there are 120,000 Ohioans under WEP.

Look for Congressman Jim Renacci, who is up for re-election in November and is working hard to change these programs to help Ohioans.
