Meet the Candidates, Bay Village Ward 4: Peter Winzig

Peter Winzig

I’ve always had a lot of ideas and energy, especially when it comes to being active in our community. Now that my kids are grown and off building their own lives, I jumped at the opportunity to continue my civic involvement and join city government. I think it’s a good fit.

I love Bay Village - been active locally for nearly 30 years, as a coach, volunteer, fundraiser, levy supporter, committee member, church leader, drug education advocate and most recently as Board President at our beautiful BAYarts. I know how to get things done. And done right.

Throughout my business and community service career, I’ve used my strong leadership, vision and an innate ability to bring people together to solve complex problems and create exciting outcomes. And I’ve been recognized for my commitment too, receiving the Bay Village Citizen of the Year Award, and two Bay Village Project of the Year Awards.

I want to help see our community thrive, our housing values continue to grow, our schools remain vibrant and our city remain a top place to live. We have tremendous, dedicated people working for the City. I look forward to supporting them and working with Council on the exciting projects in store for Bay, including the new library, beachfront park and implementing the city’s strategic plan. It will take fiscal discipline and courage.

I want to be your “voice” as Ward 4 representative. Please vote me in on Sept. 12. I promise to work hard for you.
