Pool Storytime: Join us at the Bay pool every Monday and Tuesday at 2 p.m. as one of our children's librarians hosts storytime during the rest break.

Thursdays, July 19, 26 and Aug. 2 (2 p.m.) Little Buddies – Share the joy of books with Big Buddies by reading aloud to each other and playing fun reading games and activities. Students must be able to read. Please attend all 3 sessions. Registration required.
Saturday, July 21 (10 a.m.) Mr Science – While using mostly ordinary household materials and a dash of exuberant character, Mr. Science will bring joy and wonderment to the minds of any and all young learners. You will learn about and see dozens of experiments, demonstrations and creative tricks, all while discovering the science behind how they work. Sponsored by the Friends of the Bay Village Branch Library. Registration required.
Monday, July 23 (2 p.m.) Monday Movies at the Library – Cool off this summer by visiting the library for special screenings of popular movies. Bring a blanket and pillow or sleeping bag.
Friday, Aug. 3 (10 a.m.) Let's Rock Storytime – Join us for a rocking storytime featuring stories and songs with guitar accompaniment.
Thursday, July 19 (7 p.m.) De-Stressing Tools and Techniques: Finding Peace & Balance for a Joyful Life! – Join us as Shannon Baron, wellness consultant from Heinen’s Bay Village, and Rebecca Reynolds, certified health coach and drugless practitioner, present proper nutrition, helpful anti-anxiety tools and practices for creating balance in life.
Wednesday, Aug. 1 (6:30 p.m.) Beatles in Cleveland – Relive the excitement of Beatlemania as John, Paul, George and Ringo visit Cleveland for two of the wildest, out-of-control concerts in Beatles – and rock ‘n’ roll – history. Author Dave Schwensen will take you behind the scenes and on stage with The Fab Four through insider stories, rare concert films, never-before published photos and memorabilia. The evening’s highlights will include films of The Beatles' riotous concerts at Cleveland Public Hall in 1964 and Municipal Stadium in 1966. Books will be available for purchase and author signing following the program.
Thursday, Aug. 2 (7 p.m.) The Great American Read: The Jazz Age to the Dust Bowl – We will be discussing "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald and "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. You do not need to have read these titles to join the discussion. This book discussion will be led by Barbara Parr from Siegal Lifelong Learning at Case Western Reserve University.
Saturday, Aug. 4 (2 p.m.) Glass Etching – Create a glass etched piece using vinyl stencils and etching cream. All materials will be provided. Learn about the library's Innovation Centers at our other branches and what you can make at them.
Friday, Aug. 10 (10 a.m.) BAYarts Book Discussion – Join friends, neighbors, and library staff for a monthly book discussion on the BAYarts campus. This month's book, "Exit West" by Mohsin Hamid, is available at the library and BAYarts. No registration required.
